Levels of Processing model

Model créé par 🔒 Fergus I. M. Craik et [[Robert S. Lockhart]] en 1972 qui décrit la capacité à se souvenir d'un stimuli (ex: lire une info, apprendre un truc...) comme une fonction du traitement mental et de sa profondeur. Plus une analyse est profonde plus la "memoire (memory trace)" qu'elle laisse derrière elle sera élaborée, durable et forte.

Shallow processing > fragile memory trace that decay rapidly

Il y a trois niveaux de traitement dans ce model

Traitement structurel / visuel, se souvenir par example de l'apparence d'un mot (son orthographe, l'aspect des lettres)
Traitement phonétique, se souvenir de la prononciation d'un mot
